Vintage Budweiser Print Advertisements
As you may have picked up, I like vintage stuff. If I had the means, I may have led a different life filled with shades of ‘Diggers’, ‘West End Salvage’ or ‘American Pickers’. I like vintage signs, brand promotional items, antique hardware, furniture, all kinds of things. Vintage print ads are no exception. Here are a few old Budweiser print ads from years past. I selected these because they all have a western, frontier or country ‘theme’. Some of you may have seen them around before. If not, enjoy.

Early 'Doomsday Preppers'....when doomsday could of been any day of the week if you didn't shoot it, fix it, chop it, gather it, herd it, milk it, grow it or cook it yourself.
A Great Wonder of the World....and the Grand Canyon too!

Yes. They used beer girls to sell beer way back when. The same sales approached that worked then still works now – albeit with skimpier clothes. Take a look at a few of these old vintage promotional pieces. There was bold colors to catch the eye but the beer itself wasn’t a prominent fixture in the ad. I like vintage classic Elvgren pin ups myself.

Classic Gil Elvgren general beer promotional piece. He had to pay the bills somehow.
Another Gil Elvgren promotional piece. This one for A-1 Pilsner beer.
Typical Gil Elvgren painting. These probably didn't pay the bills at the time as much as his work for Napa, Coka Cola and others.
